     The 2008 Servant Event was "The Year of The Roof".  Nearly the entire week was spent constructing and replacing roofs at three different locations in Mexico.. 
   A few days before the youth team arrived in El Paso and Mexico they learned that Lupe Celaya, their long-time friend and work companion, died unexpectedly of a heart attack.  Just minutes before his death he had been helping construct a small home for the family on whose property the Martin Luther mission had been established.  To honor Lupe's memory, and to provide shade for the mission services, Trinity's team constructed a large "portico" roof in front of the newly constructed home.
   They also removed and replaced the deteriorated roof for a family in the poor settlement of San Francisco, and completed the roof on the San Francisco mission.  The team also participated in rehabbing two homes in the colonias outside El Paso.  Also see 2008 page 2.
